SCIENCE WORKSHOP

We attended a Science workshop where we talked about environmental issues and we designed some didactic material using a special technique Dr. Herbert taught.
  • First we read a children's book about sea animals. Then, in groups of four we traced a sea creature. One by one added a line or a feature to it. At the end we got strange creatures. But in my group we decided to use a turtle.
Then, we created a short story using the animal as the principal character.

Then, we performed the story and used some of the other sea creatures the colleagues had made, like this one, which is a mixture of octopus and starfish.
The technique to make the material is good and easy. Also it is attractive to the eyes because the creatures are big and colorful.
It would be interesting to implement it with the students.

This is the turtle! Isn't it beautiful?
